Centranet Protect covers service visits by Centranet technicians for the diagnosis and repair of wiring and equipment from the NID on the side of your home to your modem and router located inside your home. More specifically, it covers:
Cost-of-service calls for technicians to diagnose and repair problems.
Repairs to Centranet-installed wiring within your home related specifically to Centranet’s internet service.
Repair or replacement of Centranet-owned equipment like modems, routers and mesh units.
Damage caused by power surges, lightning or other weather-related events when the required surge protection is being used.
The cost of the technician's time and labor for repairs is typically included.
This specific coverage is available once every 12 months. Once the subscriber is made aware of the issue, future damages within the next 12 months from the date of the damage is the responsibility of the subscriber including all equipment, labor and trip charges.
Personal devices such as computers, laptops, television, personal routers, etc.
Damage caused by misuse or intentional actions, and water damage.
Requested replacements to wiring within walls or ceilings for cosmetic purposes or because of minor damage that does not impact equipment functionality.
A subscriber must have an active Centranet internet subscription.
Electrical surge protection must be in place for all equipment for which any damages are claimed.
Subscribers can sign up at any time but must keep the service plan in place for at least 12 months, after which the subscriber can cancel the service. Centranet Protect will remain on your account until the next full billing cycle. (i.e. there will be no pro-rating of POMP services when cancelled during a billing cycle)
Centranet Protect is available for residential accounts only.
No. If a subscriber has multiple accounts and wants the protection plan for each account they must have a Centranet Protect plan on each.
No, there will not be tax charged for the plan. Subscribers will only see a flat rate of $8.00 in addition to their current service plan.
Centranet is not and will not be liable for any damages (including indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damage of any kind) arising from work performed under Centranet Protect. Centranet makes no warranties, express or implied, under Centranet Protect and specifically disclaims any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Centranet Protect is in addition to and not in lieu of Centranet’s standard Terms and Conditions. Other restrictions may apply.
